 FAQ

Public views, attitudes, and opinions are key to the planning process, and stakeholder involvement will be encouraged at each step of the way. In terms of the formal Plan adoption process, the following will occur:

  • The public has an opportunity to review the draft Plan
  • County and municipal plan consistency is our goal. Municipalities do not adopt the Plan
  • The Chief Executive approves and submits the Plan to County Council
  • Public Hearings are conducted on the final draft of the Plan and public input is documented
  • County Council adopts the Plan
