Allegheny Places is the name of the Allegheny County Comprehensive Plan and will be a general policy guide for development, conservation and economic initiatives in Allegheny County.

After a public process, Chief Executive Dan Onorato will approve and submit Allegheny Places to County Council for adoption.

The eight Council of Government (COG) Executive Directors are partners in this effort and will facilitate coordination with local municipalities.

As the official County Planning Agency, the Department of Economic Development, through its Planning Division, is responsible for preparing Allegheny Places.

The Allegheny County Comprehensive Plan includes the following information:
